I didn’t expect fencing to be something I’d spend time thinking about. It only came up because it had to.

But after everything was installed, none of that mattered as much as I thought it would.

What mattered was this:

The fence felt solid.
The gate worked properly.
Nothing needed fixing a few months later.

That’s when you realise you don’t notice good fencing. You only notice it when something goes wrong.

If I Had to Do It Again

I’d probably do one thing differently I wouldn’t rush the decision at the start.

Not because it’s complicated, but because it’s easy to assume it’s simpler than it is.

If you’re looking for fencing contractors, or deciding between a pool fence and slat fencing, it really comes down to this:

• Get someone who understands the job, not just someone who gives a quick quote
• Choose based on how it will work long-term, not just how it looks now
• Don’t ignore the small details they’re the ones that show up later

Once it’s done right, it just becomes part of the house. No issues, no second thoughts.
