In addition to implementing balance changes, the latest update for Diablo 4 also buffed the Butcher and other monsters to Diablo 4 Items offer players a more challenging experience. The slow effect on the Butcher's Cleaver has been increased, which makes it harder to escape its wrath. Players will have to wait a little longer to see how these changes will affect their progression.
Diablo 4's Season of Malignant starts on June 20 across all platforms, and players are excited to finish a new quest line that will expand the game's story. The upcoming season will introduce a Battle Pass, new enemy types, and gameplay mechanics that allow players to use Malignant Hearts as gems. The main features of the season also include Malignant Tunnels, a new type of dungeon players can complete to receive valuable rewards.
More than a few Diablo 4 fans aren't happy about the latest unique weapon for sorcerers, The Oculus wand. The new installment in the action RPG series from Blizzard is full of enemies to defeat and loot to acquire. Since it launched in June, Diablo 4 players have dived into the world of Sanctuary to fight Lilith and build the most powerful characters they can.
Building great characters necessarily involves finding solid gear to improve stats, and unique weapons are some of the best gear one could hope to find. Some fans are always on the hunt for the best unique weapons in Diablo 4 to enhance their play style and make them more deadly to the denizens of Hell. Of course, they can't all be winners, and some unique weapons just aren't worth the effort of finding them.
Diablo 4 Update Buffs The Butcher and Other Monsters
Players that favor the sorcerer are realizing this fact and voicing their frustration. It seems that a new, unique sorcerer weapon, The Oculus, just isn't very useful, and gamers have begun complaining about it on Reddit. This wand is one of six new unique weapons added in a recent Diablo 4 update, but it's apparently not the best of the batch. In fact, quite a few players in the community are asking why it was added to the game at all.
The Oculus, when equipped, gives a Sorcerer the effect of the Teleport Enhancement for free. In addition, when a player evades with the Teleport Enhancement while The Oculus is equipped, they are taken to a random location. The consensus among Sorcerer players appears to be that this weapon is not very useful and even detrimental.
The main problem for Sorcerer fans is that the random teleportation can be incredibly dangerous. Not knowing where they'll end up can lead a player into deadly situations without being prepared. Recently, an unlucky Diablo 4 player respawned in an unexpected and inconvenient location, which led to unfortunate consequences. Essentially, The Oculus could cause such problems for Sorcerers regularly. This means that the weapon could actively put players in danger in exchange for merely providing the Teleport Enhancement for free. It's hard to argue that the negatives don't outweigh the positives.
To be fair, some Redditors have been pointing out that the stat increases for the weapon aren't known yet, and these stats could possibly make The Oculus useful despite the downsides. Still, it's difficult to imagine stats that could make it worthwhile to constantly be risking random teleports. For now, many players seem to feel they're better off using one of the early game staffs in Diablo 4 than this new, unique weapon.
The Diablo 4 development team is finally offering players some information about when they can expect to see competitive play in the game. The latest installment in the series has only been out for a little over a month, but it's already developed a large and passionate fan base. Diablo 4 offers hours of content through the campaign and an Diablo 4 Gold for sale endgame that's still developing and being expanded on.
